SANDALWOOD AND COFFEE
This tour starts at Wayanad in northern Kerala and then takes you to Coorg,
both rural coffee growing areas. It also includes a visit to a National Park,
the delightful city of Mysore (Sandalwood City), and an opportunity to
discover some of Karnataka’s historic temples before finishing in south
India’s most cosmopolitan city – Bangalore.
Day 1
Arrive Calicut and transfer inland. Three nights in Wayanad.
Days 2 - 3
At leisure in Wayanad.
Day 4
Transfer to Coorg in southern Karnataka. Two nights in Coorg.
Day 5
At leisure in Coorg. The hotel offers various activities.
Day 6
Transfer to Nagarhole. Two nights at Nagarhole.
Day 7
Jeep safaris in Nagarhole National Park.
Day 8
Transfer to Mysore. Three nights in Mysore.
Days 9 – 10
Sightseeing in and around Mysore.
Day 11
Transfer to hotel near Belur and Halebid visiting the temples en route.
Day 12
Transfer to Bangalore visiting Sravanabelagola on the way. Three nights at
Bangalore.
Days 13 – 14
In Bangalore. There are good shopping opportunities in this city.
Day 15
Fly home from Bangalore Airport.

THE DECCAN DISCOVERY
This tour visits all the major sites of archaeological interest in Karnataka.
These sites are spread across the state so expect some full days of
travelling. Regrettably, this is unavoidable if you want to visit Hampi and
the sites of Northern Karnataka. However, it includes two nights relaxing at
the beach at the beginning and there is a two-night stop at most places so it
does not feel rushed. Detailed itinerary available on request.
Day 1
Arrive Mumbai (Bombay). Two nights in Mumbai.
Day 2
Sightseeing tour of Bombay.
Day 3
Day train to Goa. Check into beach hotel. Two nights at Goa.
Day 4
At leisure in Goa.
Day 5
Transfer to Bijapur. One night at Bijapur.
Day 6
Visit Gol Gumbaz and Rosa Ibrahim before transferring to Badami.
Afternoon visit to the cave temples. One night at Badami.
Day 7
Visit Aihole and Pattadakal (World Heritage Site) before transferring to
Hospet.
Two nights at Hospet.
Day 8
Full day visiting the sites of Hampi.
Day 9
Transfer to Hassan, visiting Sravanabelagola en route. Two nights at Hassan.
Day 10
Full day visiting the Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebid.
Day 11
Transfer to Mysore. Rest of day at leisure. Three nights at Mysore.
Day 12
Visit to Somnathpur and Srirangapatnam.
Day 13
Sightseeing in Mysore including the City Palace and Chamundi Hill.
Day 14
Train to Chennai. One night at Chennai (Madras).
Day 15
Fly home from Madras Airport.

| This is an eight night tour on a luxury train. The tour starts and finishes
in Mumbai (Bombay) and travels the scenic Konkan coast visiting a number of
places including beaches, vineyards, forts and the World Heritage caves at
Ajanta. The train consists of 44 fully furnished suites in 11 cars and four
