RAJPUT RENDEZVOUS
A journey through Rajasthan staying at some of the wonderful forts, palaces and havelis that have been converted into hotels. Detailed itinerary available on request.

Day 1
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Two nights in Delhi.

Day 2
Full day sightseeing in Delhi.

Day 3
Transfer to Agra by train. Visit the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Itimad-ud-Daulah. One night in Agra.

Day 4
Transfer to Jaipur by car visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way. Visit the Amber Fort. Two nights in Jaipur.

Day 5
Full day sightseeing in Jaipur including the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Museum.

Day 6
Transfer to Kuchaman. Afternoon visit the village. One night in Kuchaman.

Day 7
Transfer to Khimsar. Afternoon visit the village. One night in Khimsar.

Day 8
Transfer to Jaisalmer. Afternoon free to relax/explore. Two nights in Jaisalmer.

Day 9
Sightseeing in Jaisalmer. Camel safari in the desert.

Day 10
Transfer to Jodhpur. Two nights in Jodhpur.

Day 11
Full day sightseeing in Jodhpur including the Meherangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and the local markets.

Day 12
Transfer to Ranakpur. Visit the Chaumukha Jain Temple. One night in Ranakpur.

Day 13
Transfer to Udaipur. Two nights in Udaipur.

Day 14
Full day sightseeing in Udaipur including the City Palace complex and museum.

Day 15
Transfer to Udaipur Airport for flight to Delhi. On arrival check into the hotel for day use.
Later transfer to Delhi Airport for flight home.

An alternative tour into Rajasthan visiting the main cities as well as Pushkar, Bikaner and Mandawa. Detailed itinerary available on request.

Day 1
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel. Two nights in Delhi.

Day 2
Full day sightseeing in Delhi.

Day 3
Transfer by car to Mandawa. Take a stroll around the town to see the painted havelis. One night in Mandawa.

Day 4
Transfer to Bikaner. Two nights in Bikaner.

Day 5
Full day sightseeing including Junagarh Fort, Jain Temples, Lakshminath Temple and Lalgarh Palace plus the Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok.

Day 6
Transfer to Jaisalmer. Two nights in Jaisalmer.

Day 7
Full day sightseeing including Jaisalmer Fort, Rajmahal Palace, Jain Temples, etc.

Day 8
Transfer to Jodhpur. Two nights in Jodhpur.

Day 9
Morning sightseeing in Jodhpur including the Meherangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada. Afternoon - jeep safari to Bishnoi Village.

Day 10
Transfer to Udaipur. Two nights in Udaipur.

Day 11
Full day sightseeing in Udaipur including the City Palace complex and museum.

Day 12
Transfer to Pushkar. Afternoon sightseeing of the temples and ghats. One night in Pushkar.

Day 13
Transfer to Jaipur. Afternoon visit the Amber Palace. Two nights in Jaipur.

Day 14
Full day sightseeing including the Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Museum.

Day 15
Transfer by car to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri on the way. Afternoon sightseeing including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Itimad-ud-Daulah. One night in Agra.

Day 16
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal before transferring to Delhi. Check into hotel for ‘day use’. Later transfer to Delhi Airport for flight home.

If you wish to do this tour
during the annual camel festival at Pushkar you may like to increase your time there.

Please note that a lot of advance notice is required to secure a hotel room during the time of the fair.

If all the hotels are full we can also book tented accommodation.

 


The Palace on Wheels – Rail Journey (L, H)

The Palace on Wheels is a train with carriages originally built for the rulers of the princely states of India. The seven night journey includes visits to Delhi, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Ranthambhore National Park, Udaipur and Agra. Travelling and staying on this luxury train is a great way of seeing some of the most interesting places in Rajasthan. The train is air-conditioned and comprises 14 deluxe saloons, each with four twin-bedded chambers with intercom, attached toilets, running hot & cold water, shower and wall-to-wall carpeting. Each saloon has personal attendants or ‘Khidmatgars’ on call. Facilities include two dining cars, lounge, bar, library and beauty parlour.
